Modern Kebaya - Midodareni - Haning & Ardian by Peivy

We have to be proud of being Indonesian, the country that rich of heritage and strong culture.

Different island and province with variative culture. And one of the strong culture is the wedding ceremony process, a lot of things to be done before the wedding day. As the Javanese, there is one process that called Midodareni, or some tradition called "seserahan".

The groom to be family bring such things for the bride to be, and asking for the last time to make sure the bride to be is ready for the wedding.

Usually this ceremonial event is held on the house of the bride to be, so that the bride's family prepare themselves well. Like Haning, as the host, she choose to use something different, traditional, but still modern and gergous. The uncommon fabric just make it perfect :)

Holy Matrimony Kebaya - Balai Kartini - Andrew & Aning by Peivy

Knowing Andrew and Aning is a nice opportunities for as, but having them as a friend is such a blessed. Kindhearted, charm, and humble person is our first impression, besides they also really a good friend indeed.

Before this wedding kebaya project, we alsa has an experience to make kebaya for Aning. That day, she needs kebaya to attend her sister's wedding. Time flies, now is her turn to prepare hers.

For this occasion, we prepare two kebaya for her, one for the Holy Matrimony and the Traditions Ceremony, and the other one is for the Wedding Party.

We go together to choose the material. For the holy matrimony, we decide to use the Vera Wang lace, that is really nice with it cord effect that makes the flower so real.

We combine it with gold. And for the application, we combine the beads between pearl and swarovski. It just perfectly match with her :)

And for the party, we use beautiful lace from Valentino, the combination of coral and silver. Love the lace very much. We also put the train for this kebaya, to make it glamor and match with the party itself.
